PICNIC
 
Sunday, September 12th from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Oak Hills Rec Center (across from the school on 153rd). 
The theme for the picnic is Scout Olympics. We will have games and competitions for all the kids including siblings. Prizes and awards will be given. Please bring a salad, side dish, or dessert. The pack will provide hot dogs, condiments, and juice. 
Bouncy house, too! Live band performing afterward - stay for the music!

For all Pack 726 leaders and volunteers monthly every third Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. 
We meet in the Oak Hills Elementary library unless otherwise specified here.

This is the special fall meeting just for new scouts and their parents. Come find out about Scouting, what makes Pack 726 special, meet the leaders and committee members, and bring your aspiring Tiger Cub for treats and activities!

Training - Cub Scout Leader Specifics
Once an adult has completed New Leader Essentials the next step is Position-Specific Training. There are several training sessions, one for each position in Scouting: Tiger den leaders, Cub Scout den leaders, Webelos den leaders, Cubmasters, Assistant Cubmasters and Pack Committee members.

Training - Youth Protection
Boy Scouts of America takes an active role in preventing child abuse by providing training for youth and adults. All adult leaders are encouraged to take the Youth Protection course either online at www.cpcbsa.org or through district training courses offered. Needs to be repeated every two years.

Webelos Woods
Open to all 5th grade Webelos (2nd year Webelos) in the Sunset Trail District. The goal is to get them excited about crossing over to Boy Scouts. Activities may include BB gun, archery, slash and burn, knots and lashings, and first aid. Boys camp out overnight and sleep in Adirondacks.

Camporee
This is a Boy Scout Troop campout that includes skill competitions. Second year Webelos are usually invited by a Boy Scout Troop to attend as their guests. It's a great time for Webelos to explore the opportunities of Boy Scouts.

POW-WOW
Pow-Wow is for all Cub Scout adults, whether registered leaders or not, to re-learn what kids love to do: crafts, songs, skits, and plenty of ideas for making kids' meetings fun and interesting. Includes a take-home computer CD packed with resource materials.

Pumpkin Patch Fun Trip
Destination is Lakeview Farms, 31345 NW North Avenue, North Plains, 503-647-5596. Scouts and families welcome! Meet at the farm on Sunday, 2:00 PM, October 23, 2004. Cost is $2.00 per person which includes one pumpkin. Take Hwy 26 west, exit 57, right onto Glencoe Road, .7 miles to North Avenue, turn left to the farm.


Pack Outing to plant trees
Destination is Bluffs Park. Meet at Oak Hills School at 8:30 AM sharp to carpool. We will be planting from 9:00 to noon. Bring gloves, shovels, water bottle, and please dress for the weather - do not wear uniforms.


Pinewood Derby Speed Clinic
From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM bring your kits and cars to the Oak Hills Rec Center and let Pack volunteers run your car through the ultimate speed tune-up.



Oaks Park Scout Day
From 12:00 to 7:00 PM at Oaks Amusement Park in Portland scouts can wear their uniforms and receive a deluxe ride bracelet for only $2.00. Pack 726 will meet at Oak Hills School parking lot at 11:20 AM for anyone who would like to carpool. Otherwise, just head on down! Family members and siblings pay $13.50 for deluxe bracelet or $10.75 for limited bracelet. For directions visit www.oakspark.com.



Year End Pack Meeting
Saturday, June 4th from 4-8:00 PM at Camp Ireland in Hillsboro
$2/person or $5/family
We will join Packs 718, 769 and 848 for a fun-filled afternoon of games, food and awards! Please let your den leader know if you will be there (or email us!) and what you wish to contribute to the potluck (side dish, chips or dessert). This is our last meeting before summer, so come on out!
